We Live To Tell The Tale!

In the name of Allah, most Gracious most Merciful

Alhamdulillah, I have lived in this world for 19 years, and I’m a muslim! I’m very proud of it. Yet, I have another story for you to tell, here it is.

I have wandering in this world, see it’s beauty, miracle, and everything that i can say, “Subhanallah! This world is perfect!”. I’m a Geodesy student from ITB. I have studied for 2 years in this university, and, I’m grateful for this blessing from Allah. People said, i can’t enter this university, but i prove they were wrong! I can enter this university, i can survive!

When i was in 3rd grade in high school, i was an atheist, I do not believe in religion, but still, my heart speak, “There is a god, There is a god.” Then I think deeply, “If universe can be created this perfect, so accurate, so… unbelievable, it is possibly then, there is a god.” After I searched, from Buddha, Hindu, Jews, Christian, and finally I found it. It is Islam that i was searching for.

Then my friend persuade me to say 2 sentence of creed in Islam (the Syahadah), then I said, “Asyhadu-Laa ilaha illallah, wa Asyhadu Anna Muhammadar rasulullah” (i bear witness that there is no god but allah and i bear witness that muhammad is the messenger of allah).

And the journey of me as a real muslim begin. My friend says, if you want to be a real muslim, you must obey Allah and Rasulullah with no exception. So i follow what his say. Day after day, i was given enlightment by Allah, i know if you want to get in to the Jannah (Heaven) you must do the amal shalih, it is written in the Quran, Surah At-Taubah verse 120-121.

It’s hard for being a muslim, especially when this day. But, I’m proud of it.
